About IT Services

Information Technology (IT) Services provides the Santa Barbara County Education Office (SBCEO) departments, twenty school districts and two community colleges with critical services to their operations, the most critical of services being the custom financial accounting and payroll/retirement system.  This system is supported by a team of in-house software programmers who enhance the system according to state mandated requirements and district specified priorities.  The systems are designed for high reliability, complemented by 24-hour/7 days per week hotline support and a Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Plan that is updated and tested on an annual basis.

IT Services also offers to school districts and schools in Santa Barbara County:

For SBCEO departments, IT provides Local Area Network (LAN) and workstation support services.  The LAN services include connectivity to the SBCEO secure internal private network, managed antivirus protection, file storage and file sharing, and workstation backup services.  In addition, LAN services are provided for a public network as well as wireless connectivity for both our public and private networks.  Listservs are also available to departments upon request.  Workstation support is provided to SBCEO departments at an hourly rate.  This includes technical assistance with recommending, purchasing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
